Solidarity Sports was founded around the idea of nurturing kids through sports – a fun, easy and healthy way to bring people together, hence our name.
Since then, we’ve added all sorts of activities including sports, arts, mentorship and adventure to our programme, with the aim of bringing fun to hundreds of kids lives.
We’re on the lookout for a part time Business Support Officer to join our team!
As part of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with our Director on many new and exciting projects that will encourage growth and awareness. Celebrate with us the immense power of play to change lives! Our organisation is brought to life not just by the energy of the children who participate, but thanks also to our team of incredible volunteers. To help us keep our programmes going, and for us to be able to do even more for our community, we need your help – your time and skills are a great gift to us.
We offer programmes that suit a wide range of kids’ interests, from sports to art, days out and holidays, to music and food. We particularly welcome children from disadvantaged backgrounds, or those who have experienced trauma, creating a safe, nurturing and fun environment for everyone. We hope children find a place of belonging with Solidarity Sports, for many years to come.
If you are a parent or guardian, and would like to speak to us about what opportunities there are for a child in your care, please get in touch.
Along with people power, Solidarity Sports relies on financial donations. If you would like to help us fundraise, there are a lot of simple ways to get involved – whether you can set up a fundraising page, run a small event, or are bursting with ideas to encourage others to donate, we’re always free to discuss how best to get started!
The Hashim Family Legacy is committed to making children’s dreams come true.
Launched in 2017, the project honours three of our Solidarity children and their parents, who were tragically lost in the catastrophic fire that engulfed the Grenfell Tower. Founded in memory of Firdaws, Yaqub and Yahya- and all children who will never be able to live out their dreams.
We capture many of the wonderful times we have together in short films, starring our Solidarity children, which become lasting memories for them and their families.
